Cheery Lynn Rocket

Hi I'm back with another card using some of Cheery Lynn's new Retro Release dies.  I started by wanting to use this Retro Rocket die on a tag.  It's probably the die I was most excited to use from this release as it's perfect for guy cards and those are always tough for me.  But I thought I'd try something different so I switched up colors and created a more girly card using what are traditionally probably thought of as a more masculine die.

Cheery Lynn Happy Camper

Hi again!  I've been crafting up a storm with the new Cheery Lynn Retro Release dies. I have a girl scout, cub scout and boy scout in my house as well as another future cub. I envision  this Happy Camper die set getting a ton of use.  The lines on the camper make it easy to cut and paper piece so you can customize the color.  I also backed it with a silver metallic paper that shows through the windows.  The tire was colored with a black marker.

Cheery Lynn Let's Go Retro New Release Blog Hop!

Hi crafty friends! Cheery Lynn Designs has a brand new release which means it's time for a Blog Hop! There are so many awesome projects in this hop, so make sure to click the links below to see them all. If you arrived from Debbie's blog you are on the right track. If not, you can return to the Cheery Lynn blog HERE to start from the beginning.

I probably love all new dies.  But these are so different and fun to play with.  They are perfect for making any project extra special.  The great thing about them is that they really are completely unique to my collection.  The Picture Perfect camera in these colors looked like a new instant cameras my daughter and her tween friends all either have or want.  The sentiment was perfect on a girl card and would be great for graduations too.  My daughter is stepping up into middle school this year and I think she inspired this card.  She even asked if we could frame it for her room.

I glued the aqua camera to a piece of black cardstock and cut around it.  This way the black elements are actually recessed.  The camera and photo were then adhered with foam adhesive for dimension.

I sponged color around the sentiment using the square die as a stencil.  The smaller hearts were cut out of glitter paper.  Sparkle was colored with a marker and glitter glue was added on top.  Last, I glued a rhinestone to the top of the letter I.  You can never have too much shimmer on a project!

Cheery Lynn Awesome

Hi friends!  It's Jenny here today on the blog.  I have a clean and simple style card to share.  I didn't anticipate this card to be so simple but with the bold, graphic style of these dies and the bright colors I chose it didn't need much else.

I glued navy blue paper to the back of the leaves so the detail would really stand out.  Te main flower was popped up with foam adhesvive for dimension. The sentiment was cut twice and glued together offset so the shadow would stand out.  A third shadow in pink might have helped visually anchor the sentiment even more.
